Privacy Policy.
Effective date: November 8, 2026
How we handle information when you visit our website or contact us about a project.
1. Who We Are
Factory — Custom Woodwork is a brand of KV Construction & Renovations Inc., the legal operator of this website, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy describes how we handle personal information in connection with this website and project inquiries, including our responsibilities under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), where applicable.
2. Information We Receive
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, contact details, company, project location, scope and attachments. Please share only information needed to discuss the project and avoid unnecessary sensitive personal information or information about other people.
This website has no inquiry form, file-upload facility, customer account, inquiry database or automatic marketing subscription. Hosting and security systems may process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and request times, to deliver and protect the website. We do not install advertising or analytics trackers in the website code. Hosting and security services may use cookies or similar technologies where needed for their operation.
3. How We Use Information
We use project emails to respond to inquiries, review the proposed work, prepare quotations and carry on related business correspondence. We also use information as reasonably needed to operate and secure the website, maintain relevant business records and meet legal obligations. Contacting us does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell personal information.
4. Email Communications & Service Providers
“Email Your Scope” opens your chosen email application with a suggested subject and an optional project outline. You decide what to include and whether to send it; the website does not send an email for you. Your email service handles that transmission under its own terms and privacy practices.
Messages we receive are stored in the company’s Gmail account, provided by Google. Vercel hosts this website and may process technical information for hosting, reliability and security. We may disclose information to service providers as needed for these purposes, or when required or permitted by law. Using email does not remove our responsibility to handle personal information appropriately.
5. Processing Outside Canada
Email and hosting providers may process or store information outside Canada. Information handled in another country may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access by its authorities. Contact the Privacy Officer listed below to request written information about our policies and practices for service providers outside Canada, or to ask questions about that processing.
6. Information Security & Retention
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and the way it is handled. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please contact us before sending particularly sensitive or confidential material so that an appropriate way to share it can be discussed.
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here and applicable legal or business recordkeeping requirements. When it is no longer needed, it should be securely deleted or anonymized. Copies in provider backups or technical logs may remain subject to the provider’s retention processes.

If a concern remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
